HOME, Inc. believes that everyone willing and able to accept the responsibilities of homeownership should be able to purchase a home. Our Homeownership Opportunities Service can make it happen.

Homeownership Readiness Questionnaire

HOME, Inc. combines homeownership counseling and supportive services with property development and financing to assist low-income people in becoming homeowners through our Homeownership Opportunties Service (HOS). The HOS offers the following three models:

Lease/purchase involves the acquisition, rehabilitation and permanent financing of properties selected by clients. Clients rent the home while participating in counseling aimed at helping them become bankable. Clients must rent the home for one year prior to assuming HOME, Inc.’s mortgage.

Turn Key involves sale of properties that are built or rehabilitated by HOME, Inc. Clients meeting income guidelines may apply to purchase a home. HOME, Inc. will assist the clients in pre-qualifying and securing mortgage financing. Based on need, clients may receive financial assistance towards the purchase of a home.

Our Homeownership Opportunities Service
can make homeownership a reality; however, to qualify, you must you must meet the following requirements:

• Be willing to maintain an honest working relationship with HOME, Inc.
• Be willing to live in Polk County.
• Have stable employment and a good rental history.
