Hildreth team helps to deliver all of the shed panels to homeowners for construction. In April, HOME, Inc. participated in the Build My Future event, an expo where students from across Iowa come to explore careers in the trades. The collaboration between Principal Foundation and HOME, Inc. went beyond just the event itself. Together we designed a volunteer project that would directly benefit the families HOME, Inc. serves. The idea was to create Welcome Home Kits for the children of families who purchase our affordable homes.

This year, we received a $15,000 volunteerism grant from Wells Fargo that allowed us to make a tangible difference for two families who purchased affordable homes through our homeownership program.

Homebuyer education class scheduled for April 26 HOME, Inc. and Bankers Trust are partnering to address a need for homebuyer financial education in central Iowa. As part of their ongoing partnership, the two organizations host free homebuyer education classes geared toward minority and low-to-moderate income homebuyers.
