2020 has been a challenge for all of us – there is no denying that. Many members of our community are facing homelessness, eviction, or unsafe housing due to job losses. COVID-19 has undoubtedly changed the course of the rest of this decade. It is our job as citizens to continue performing our civic duties of wearing a mask, and staying 6-feet apart from others. Our staff has been working tirelessly from home to keep each other, and you, safe.

We miss our families, going out to eat, the movies, hugging our parents, and having our children in-person at school. We are tired of the masks, staying apart, and missing milestones with our loved ones. However, we have lost family members, friends, and acquaintances to COVID-19, and we understand how necessary it is to continue to stay apart for the sake of those we love and miss.

This is not the year that we pictured, just like you. Our calls have skyrocketed from 150 a month, to almost 250 per week in the last 8 months. Our counselors are working extremely hard, but we are tired. Our social media campaign for the last few months is to showcase how wonderful our staff members are and how much they mean to us throughout this pandemic.

This is our time to come together, buckle down, and continue working through these safety measures to keep ourselves, our families, and our communities safe. We are responsible for keeping each other safe and ensuring that our hospitals have the ability and capacity to continue caring for those who need it. We are truly all in this together.
